Energy Retailer of the Year Awards

Glynns Homevalue Energy Centre Claremorris sees success at Irish Hardware Awards

Glynns Homevalue Energy Centre Claremorris has been awarded the accolade of Irish Hardware Magazine Energy Retailer of the Year 2011 sponsored by Business Exhibitions Ltd

The winner was announced at a glittering awards ceremony in Clontarf Castle, Dublin.

Irish Hardware magazine receives hundreds of category entries for its annual awards and the Energy category is always a hotly contested one.

Referring to the high-standard of entries, Martin Foran editor of Irish Hardware, said that this was a testament to the quality which is currently in evidence right across the trade.

'We were impressed by the excellence of each entry,' said Foran. He added that the finalists were representative of merchants right throughout the country who had been 'putting their best foot forward' in the face of a challenging economic environment.

'We have seen in these awards, how, year-on-year, merchants have consistently raised their game,' said Martin Foran. 'This makes the judges' job a very difficult one.'

Martin Foran, explained how the Energy Retailer of The Year Category had been introduced to recognize efforts to meet current demands in this vital sector.

'This is an area which is hugely important to customers and growing more so all the time,' added Foran.

Judges felt that Glynns went the extra mile in the highly competitive category, noting that the store was 'particularly friendly towards both ordinary householders and plumbers/specialists alike.' There staff displayed extensive and broad product knowledge on key areas such as Solar Panels, Stoves, Condensing Oil Boilers, Insulations and Airtightness. Glynns were also complemented on their after sales service which distinguished them from many of their competitors in this area. Glynns competitive prices also contributed to their success.

Receiving the awards on behalf of Glynns Homevalue, Tom Noonan thanked the Glynn family for their foresight in opening Ireland's first dedicated Energy Centre, back in 2008, and also thanked the staff for their tremendous efforts in making Glynns Homevalue Energy Centre the best in the Country for Energy and heating products. It's a wonderful moral boost given the times we are in and we are delighted to have been recognised offically by the industry as the market leaders in the Energy area.
