The Role Purpose:

The purpose of the roles is to ensure that our customers have a positive experience when they need to purchase key items for their farms. The individuals will be required to be able to advise on different products, their usage and how to make the best use of each item. We have built up very positive long-term relationships with our key customers and suppliers and very much value sustaining those relationships. The individuals in the role will be required to contribute to the enhancement of those relationships through the provision of excellent customer service and sound practical advice. Many of the items we sell are large, heavy, and bulky consequently the work is physically demanding requiring the individual to be suitably fit, strong, and capable of undertaking bouts of strenuous manual labour in all weathers.
The business opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00. The successful applicant must be available to work 2 Saturday’s per month.
The Glynn family will celebrate 100 years of retail trade in 2024. The business is currently thriving under the leadership of the third generation of family members. Glynns of Milltown is one of three family-owned retail outlets in Connaught, it focuses on supplying the farming community with a vast array of farm essentials including animal feeds, fertilizer, Veterinary Medicines, general hardware, pesticides, farm equipment, tools, protective clothing, and other farm essentials. The other two locations in Claremorris & Tuam primarily focus on servicing the building trade and the construction sector.
